Charge Controller

Batteries last longer if care is taken so that they are not overcharged or drained too much. The charge controller does not let current from the PV modules continue to flow into the battery once it is fully charged. The charge controller does similarly also, once the battery has been drained to a certain level, not allow more current to be drained from the batteries until it has been recharged. These functions are essential for the a long battery life.
